Asia Education Project (ASIAED)

Assists in supporting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, and in particular UNESCOs Community Learning Centres (CLC), and Asia and Pacific Programme of Education for All (APPEAL),
which is a regional co-operative programme designed to promote literacy.

ASIAED Project Asia Education: The NGO, non-profit ASIAED assists in supporting the UN Millennium Development Goals.

Your Role

The focal point of the Asia Education Project (ASIAED) assists with furthering disseminating the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and offers support at all levels in managing and coherent utilization of the MDGs.

UNESCO leads the global Education for All (EFA) movement, aiming to meet the learning needs of all children, youth and adults by 2015.

The ASIAED Resource Outreach Centre based in Ubon, Thailand supports CLCs defined as a local educational institution outside the formal education system, for villages or urban areas providing various learning opportunities within a community, improve quality of life, and the resulting development promotes social transformation. Your role in CLC development:

Promote the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)

Support through the ASIAED Resource Outreach Centre

Local economic development initiatives and income generation

Local Infrastructure and Sanitation Education (LISE)

ASIAED Open Content and Education Platform (OCEP)

ASIAED themes and CDROM resources

Promote the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs);
Promoting education for all, social cohesion and employment;
Assisting partner countries and regions in the areas of trade and regional integration.
Promoting sustainable development through environmental protection and sustainable management of natural resources;
Promoting governance, democracy, human rights and support for institutional reforms;
Assistance in post-crisis situations and fragile States.
